Can you help create economic impact by working with Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) to update their digital capability? Would you enjoy working with a world leading university to transfer both their knowledge, and yours, to improve industrial performance and commercial products / services?

If you have helped deliver funded projects before, using your technical expertise; if you have a proven track record of applying leading edge knowledge to companies; if you want to work in a target driven environment with strong research, then we want to hear from you.

This post is required for two separate projects within WMG. On commencement of the role until 25 March 2013 you will be based within the International Digital Laboratory, a project part funded by Advantage West Midlands (AWM), and thereafter until 28 February 2015 will be based within the International Institute of Product Service Innovation (IIPSI), a project part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

You will stimulate proactively Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within the West Midlands to adopt digital technology and best practice in the application domains of digital healthcare sciences and digital manufacturing. You will develop SME offerings in specific areas of digital technologies including healthcare and ensure on-going success through delivering advisory activities to ensure project deliverable targets are met. You will market the capabilities/expertise of the projects to companies, intermediary and partner organisations and at business seminars.

You will need to demonstrate a drive and enthusiasm for taking research through to an end applications and proven experience in securing and managing industrially driven collaborative Research & Development projects. You should possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills which can be harnessed to work positively and collaboratively at all levels of industry and the academic base.
