Just Have to Share - The NeoLucida, the First Portable Camera Lucida to be Manufactured in Nearly a Century

Before the photography print the Camera Lucida, designed by Sir William Hyde Wollaston was a clever optical device that used a prism to project an image onto a piece of paper so you could trace it. The device transformed lifedrawing. But they are not generally seen for sale today. Occasionally Ebay may feature antique Camera Lucidas selling at a high price. That is until today, university professors Pablo Garcia, previously from the Art Institute of Chicago and Golan Levin from Carnegie Mellon have designed the NeoLucida, the first portable camera lucida in nearly a century. Watch their film now on Kickstrater
