Marie Muzhuzha - Artfest design success

Marie Muzhuzha, final year graphics student, decided to enter the competition to design the main Artsfest logo as part of her current degree. Marie has been praised for her winning entry, a design that is currently being seen by thousands.

Out of 16 original designs, Marie chose one depicting a female figure with a myriad of creative ideas escaping from her mind.

The design was inspired by collage and montage pieces with every symbol connecting and influencing another.

The artwork, which has been used as the main design for the Artsfest event has been printed on thousands of flyers, posters, banners, t-shirts and used within other media outlets.

Marie said:

“I am so honoured that my design was chosen, I worked really hard and it is a great feeling to know that all of that hard work paid off.

“For the past few months I realised in order to excel within the industry, I am going to have to dedicate the majority of my time to it. It is not a 9 to 5 for me; it is more of a lifestyle.

“It might sound cliché but hard work definitely pays off! Dreams really don't work unless you do.”

Marie’s main hope for the future is to be independently successful within the design industry, with her next step being, to continue with further education.

Marie plans to study an MA in creative management whilst also running a freelance business alongside it.

Congratulations Marie
